Jivabhumi is a community supported social enterprise connecting conscious consumers and local farmers via the food. We are on a mission to provide "Better Livelihood for Farmers and Safe food for Consumers". We are simplifying the food supply and retail chain by eliminating the complexities of the supply chain and connecting farmers directly to consumers via our online technology platform https://shop.jivabhumi.com Problem Several of our small and marginal farmers despite following traditional and natural (Chemical and Pesticide Free) farming methods get < 30% of the price paid by the consumers due to complex supply-chain thus negatively impacting farmer livelihood. On the other-hand, consumers find it difficult to get safe and healthy food free from chemicals and pesticides. Traceability and Transparency is compromised in the food supply and retail chain. Solution We work directly with small and marginal farmers that grow food using natural and traditional methods without using chemicals and pesticides. We provide market access to such farmers and ensure that farmers get between 50-70% of the price paid by consumers thus impacting the farmer livelihood. Consumers can buy safe, healthy and affordable food directly from farmers via our online technology platform. The platform provides complete transparency and traceability of the food value chain for consumers.

Job Description and Skill Set Required:
- Assist in development of new custom solution modules/components
- Customizing the existing modules to meet the business requirements
- Technical support for the existing PHP based open source e-commerce platform
- Full stack development using PHP, MySQL, AJAX, CSS, Java script and HTML
- Upgrading the existing open source module to latest community edition and maintaining (n-1) version consistently
- Quality assurance and product testing
- Technical Co-ordination with outsourced technology partners
- Enthusiastic, curious and creative mind set is must
- Exposure to full stack web application development using PHP, HTML, CSS,
- Bootstrap, JQuery and MySQL
- Familiarity with web frontend and backend development
- Curiousness and passion for learning new technologies especially open source
- Self-learner
